Universal Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for “Violent Night 2”, the new chapter in the Christmas action franchise from 87North, the producers behind hits like “John Wick”, “Bullet Train”, and the “Atomic” franchise.
David Harbour (“Stranger Things”) returns as the unlikely hero who turned Santa Claus into a real combat machine.
In the sequel, Santa ends up trapped in a mall in New Jersey, separated from the North Pole. To face the threat, he must act in his own way against a ruthless Crime Lord and his henchmen, who have invaded the location.
In addition to Harbour in the lead role, the cast brings together names like Emmy and Golden Globe nominees Jared Harris (“Chernobyl”) and Kristen Bell (“The Good Place”), Emmy winner Joe Pantoliano (“Matrix”), Daniela Melchior (“The Suicide Squad”), Andrew Bachelor (“Greenland”), and AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman (“The Iron Claw”).
Tommy Wirkola returns to direct, reuniting the same creative team responsible for “Violent Night”, released in 2022. Production is once again handled by 87North founders Kelly McCormick and David Leitch, while the screenplay is written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller.
Distributed by Universal Pictures, “Violent Night 2” arrives in Brazilian theaters on December 3, also in accessible versions.
