Third season of ‘With Love, Kitty’ ignores promising romance and focuses on a new relationship

On Netflix, the third season of “With Love, Kitty” picks up the final year of Kitty Song Covey at the Korean International School of Seoul (KISS) and reshapes the group’s relationships. While it maintains the bonds already formed, the plot changes some previously established paths, especially the hinted romance between Kitty and Yuri at the end of the second season.

In the new phase, the two remain just friends; there is no revival of the romantic atmosphere nor any dialogue that clarifies the previous moment. Instead, the story focuses on Kitty’s relationship with Min Ho, which begins in the first episodes of the new school year, and the conflicts that arise in that relationship. This emphasis pushes aside other hinted emotional possibilities, such as the connection with Yuri, which ends up being set aside. While Yuri reorganizes his life and reconnects with Juliana, the series moves forward without revisiting the bond that could have developed. By privileging a single romance, the season reduces the variety of emotional dynamics presented since the series began, leaving some arcs without the expected conclusion.
