Director Zack Snyder has taken a new step in developing his highly anticipated feature about the UFC universe, currently provisionally titled *Brawler*. More than a year after the official announcement, the production has begun searching for extras in Los Angeles, signaling that filming is close to starting.
The project has official licensing from the world’s leading mixed martial arts organization, following a partnership model similar to that used by Formula 1 for *F1: The Movie*, starring Brad Pitt. The central narrative is expected to follow the intense daily routine and challenges of a fictional MMA fighter who seeks glory inside the octagon. Industry rumors suggest that Snyder is interested in Adam Driver for the lead role, although no official confirmation exists yet. So far, no distributor has been set nor a release date for theaters or streaming platforms. The director is also awaiting distribution guarantees for his next project, *The Last Photograph*, slated for 2026.
