Actor Ralph Fiennes, who portrayed Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter films, was recently asked who could take on the villain role in the TV series HBO is developing. In an interview on The Claudia Winkleman Show, he responded directly, stating that Tilda Swinton would be “fantastic” to embody the Dark Wizard.
Swinton, known for work such as “Doctor Strange” and “The Chronicles of Narnia”, has sparked fan interest, who are already speculating about her involvement. There is still no official announcement regarding the casting of Voldemort, and the character will appear only in a brief opening scene, tied to Professor Quirrell’s arc. The anticipation, however, remains high. The series, which adapts the first book of J.K. Rowling’s saga, is set to premiere on December 25 on HBO, bringing back the magical world of Hogwarts and introducing new challenges for young Harry.
The production promises to explore Harry’s origin as he receives his letter to Hogwarts, as well as the dangers that will arise throughout the story, keeping alive the tradition of adventure and magic that defines the franchise.
