He-Man: Dragon Pearl of Destruction Release Delayed to Summer 2026

Limited Run Games announced that the long‑awaited *He‑Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction* will not arrive on April 28 as planned. The game has been postponed to sometime between June and September 2026, a period that corresponds to summer in the United States. The publisher has not set an exact date, but explained that the delay aims to ensure greater polish in development.

“We are approaching the final phase of the project, and to deliver an experience that surprises fans of all generations, we need more production time”, the company said in a statement on social media, thanking the community for its patience.

The game’s plot revolves around Skeletor, who finds the legendary Dragon Pearl of Destruction and, with the support of Evil‑Lyn, tries to trigger a ritual that would plunge Eternia into perpetual darkness. It falls to He‑Man, Mentor, and Teela to stop the plan before the relic unleashes its devastating power. The title also promises that She‑Ra will be unlocked as a playable character in future updates.

Among the highlights, the pixel‑art visual with high‑resolution sprites harks back to the 80s animation, and there are 12 stages that recreate iconic locations such as the Royal Palace and Snake Mountain. The local co‑op mode allows two players to fight side‑by‑side, facing classic villains like Skeletor, Evil‑Lyn, Beast‑Man and Trap Jaw.

The delay also means the game will arrive after the live‑action film *Masters of the Universe*, scheduled to premiere in Brazil on June 4, maintaining the strategy of synchronizing the two media.
