In the footage shown, Cavill portrays Connor MacLeod, stating his centuries‑old origin: “I am Connor MacLeod, born in 1518, and I am immortal.” In contrast, the villain Kurgan, played by Dave Bautista, delivers a threat that echoes the series’ tradition, while the classic cry “There can be only one” resonates at the end of the montage.

The plot promises to follow the immortal Connor trying to live discreetly in the modern era, until he is drawn back into the Game when his old adversary reappears, backed by a secret organization seeking the secret of immortality. By his side, mentor Ramirez (Russell Crowe) and archaeologist Kate Bennett (Marisa Abela) provide support in battles that span centuries and continents, culminating in a showdown that could decide the fate of humanity.

Directed by Chad Stahelski, known for the “John Wick” franchise, the reboot is slated to hit theaters in 2027, bringing promises of intense action, epic decapitations, and spectacular visuals.
