The actress Barbie Ferreira recently revealed the reasons that led her to leave the cast of *Euphoria*. In an interview on the Ladies Night podcast from Collider, she explained that, over the second season, her character Kat Hernandez was gradually reduced to a supporting role, with no space for new narratives. Ferreira said she felt the character’s story was coming to an end and that there were no more creative challenges within the series, which made her seek projects that truly challenge her.
Determined to focus on her artistic development, the actress chose to invest in independent productions, financing these choices with her work in the fashion world, rather than taking roles solely for pay. Currently, Ferreira stars in the horror *Faces of Death*, playing content moderator Margot, who investigates a series of violent videos suspected of not being staged. She is also leading the drama *Mile End Kicks*, where she portrays a music critic who abandons writing a book when she becomes involved with the vocalist of an underground band.
Meanwhile, the third season of *Euphoria* is already on the air, bringing back names such as Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, and continuing to explore teenagers’ dilemmas regarding friendships, trauma, addictions and relationships. The episodes are broadcast on HBO and available on the HBO Max platform.
