After months of speculation, the second season of Marvel Zombies has been officially confirmed by the MCU’s head of TV and streaming, Brad Winderbaum. In his appearance on The Escape Podcast, Winderbaum revealed that production of the new episodes is already underway. He mentioned having seen the first storyboard for the season premiere, describing it as “a madness” and promising new elements that go beyond traditional zombies, bringing something never seen in the Marvel universe. Although there is no release date yet, expectations point to 2027. This renewal is part of Marvel Studios’ new strategy of betting on multi‑season series, instead of miniseries like “Magneto” and “Daredevil: Reborn”. Set in an alternate universe to Earth‑616, Marvel Zombies presents a post‑apocalyptic setting where heroes and villains have been infected by a zombie virus. The first season premiered in 2025 on Disney+ and remains available on the platform.
