    Meryl Streep leads Netflix series based on award‑winning novel ‘The Corrections’

    Netflix has secured the adaptation rights to the acclaimed National Book Award‑winning novel “The Corrections” by Jonathan Franzen, intensifying the race for original content among streaming platforms. The production will feature the iconic multiple‑Oscar‑winning actress Meryl Streep as the matriarch Enid, who tries to bring her three children together for one last family Christmas.

    Franzen will take part in the screenwriting, while award‑winning writer Cord Jefferson, known for “American Fiction” and “Watchmen”, will direct all episodes of the miniseries.
