On Monday (the 6th), TV Globo will broadcast the regional telefilm “Teste para Cardíaco” in the Cine BBB block, followed by a transmission on Tela Quente. The production, filmed in Pará, is part of the Telefilmes Regionais initiative, which brings together works from different Brazilian states to increase representation on free‑to‑air channels. Before reaching the general public, the film had its first screening inside the Big Brother Brasil house, following the same path as other projects in the program.
The narrative follows Regina’s (Astrea Lucena) family, who suffers a heart attack and must be hospitalized, forcing her husband Alberto (Diego Homci) to take over the management of the stall in the local market. Meanwhile, their son Alan (Tiago Homci) returns from prison, reigniting old conflicts between the brothers, both linked to football. The family tension eases when they accept an unexpected offer: to take part in a football tournament among market vendors, which runs parallel to the Re‑Pa classic between Remo and Paysandu.
This sporting dispute serves as a cultural backdrop, bringing issues of identity, pride and reconciliation to the fore.
The main setting of the film is the Mercado Ver‑o‑Peso in Belém, whose colours, textures and typical stalls are captured by cinematographer Thiago Pelaes, reinforcing the Pará atmosphere. Director Fernando Segtowick uses football and the fraternal relationship as tools to discuss masculinity and belonging without losing sight of the local context. The script, written by Adriana de Faria with creation by Lucia Tupiassu, was produced in partnership between Marahu Filmes and TV Liberal, underscoring Globo’s commitment to giving voice to regional stories. “Teste para Cardíaco” airs at 10:30 p.m. on Monday, promising to move the audience with family drama and the energy of street football.
