Bridgerton Begins Filming Season 5 and Promises a Faster Return

Netflix kicked off filming the fifth season of *Bridgerton* in the United Kingdom, just days after wrapping the fourth. This decision breaks the pattern of long waits that marked the recent releases: the third season arrived in mid‑2024, while the fourth was only released at the end of February 2026, almost two years later. The shift reflects an internal strategy aimed at speeding up the production cycle, something already observed in series such as *Stranger Things* and *The Witcher*.

The renewal of seasons 5 and 6 was announced back in 2025, allowing the team to move straight into filming without waiting for audience analysis of the previous season. Filming began in early 2026, with official confirmation on March 24, although behind‑the‑scenes footage shows that preparation was already underway weeks earlier. This continuous flow eliminates the idle period that used to separate one season from the next, keeping cast and crew on set.

After filming wraps, the series will enter post‑production, which typically lasts six to eight months. If everything stays on schedule, the fifth season should be ready between the first and second half of 2027, cutting the gap to roughly 14 to 16 months after the end of the fourth season – far less than the initial forecasts that pointed to 2028.

Although there is still no official premiere date, the signs are clear: *Bridgerton* fans can expect a swifter return, with production already well underway and a schedule that favors closer‑spaced releases.
