A newly formed independent studio, Purple Ray Studio, has just unveiled its first title, Koshmar: The Last Reverie, an action‑adventure game slated for release in 2027 on PC and consoles. The team brings together veterans who have already made their mark on franchises such as Resident Evil Village, The Witcher 2, Rainbow Six Extraction, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and Outriders.
The story puts the player in control of Violet, a teenage girl capable of crossing the threshold between dreams and nightmares, alternating between everyday environments and distorted dreamlike landscapes. Exploration will be central, featuring an open city filled with missions, characters, and challenges, as well as unstable zones where reality unravels and danger escalates. Combat requires strategy, blending fast‑paced action with careful positioning, and the system incorporates RPG elements and roguelite mechanics, allowing for different play approaches.
