    Tom Felton renews contract and stays another six months in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” on Broadway

    British actor Tom Felton announced that he will continue playing the adult version of Draco Malfoy in the show “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” for another six months. Since his debut at the Lyric Theatre on November 11, 2025, Felton has attracted fans who recall his role in the eight films of the saga, boosting the production’s box office. The play, which has been running since 2018, has moved to a single performance schedule, establishing itself as the highest-grossing show in theater history, with a record of US$3.7 million in the week of December 28, 2025.

    The contract extension allows Felton to be on stage until November 1, although there are scheduled breaks from May 11 to 31, August 17 to 23, September 14 to 20, and October 12 to 18. The story unfolds 19 years after “The Deathly Hallows,” focusing on the children of the main characters and the challenges they face at Hogwarts. The current cast includes John Skelley as Harry Potter, Trish Lindstrom as Ginny Potter, Emmet Smith as Alvo Potter, Rachel Christopher and Daniel Fredrick in the roles of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, Janae Hammond as Rose Granger‑Weasley, Aidan Close as Scorpius Malfoy, and Kristen Martin as Delphi Diggory. The production, based on the original work by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, is directed by Tiffany and produced by Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.
