The actor Vincent D’Onofrio told Entertainment Weekly that Wilson Fisk, portrayed by him, will undergo a drastic change in the second half of the new season of Daredevil: Reborn. The villain, already known for his narcissistic and unstable personality, will act even more unpredictably and dangerously, especially as he assumes the office of Mayor of New York. “He is devastated and, from this point on, becomes more out of control than ever”, D’Onofrio said.
At the end of the fourth episode, a mercenary crashes an event organized by Fisk with the intention of assassinating Vanessa. Daredevil tries to stop the attack, but the situation gets out of control and a shard of glass hits Vanessa, leaving her future uncertain. Many fans wonder if the character actually died. The series, released in early 2025, brings back most of the original cast from the Netflix version and stands out as Marvel’s first production with an 18+ rating. The second season will feature the return of Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and the debut of Matthew Lillard as the politician Mr. Charles, who will directly oppose Fisk. The cast includes Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Wilson Bethel (Bullseye) and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher).
The new episodes air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Disney+. Critics already note that the second season raises the show’s level, delivering what fans expected.
