Sony Pictures has confirmed the national release date of the new chapter of the “Evil Dead” saga, titled “Evil Dead Burn”. The film will hit Brazilian theaters on July 9, two weeks before its US debut. The direction is handled by Sébastien Vaniček, known for “Infestation”, who also co‑wrote the script alongside Florent Bernard. The cast includes names such as Souheila Yacoub (from “Dune: Part Two”), Hunter Doohan (from “Wanda”), Luciane Buchanan (from “The Night Agent”) and Tandi Wright (from “Pearl”).
In addition to this title, Ghost House Pictures has already announced that Francis Galluppi, director of “The Last Stop in Arizona”, is preparing another film in the franchise, although no further details have been revealed yet. The latest release in the series, “Evil Dead: The Rise”, had a budget of $19 million and received an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
