One day after its premiere on April 10, “Consequence” – Keanu Reeves’s latest film – is already emerging as the most-watched content on Apple TV worldwide. Directed and co-written by Jonah Hill, the production features Reeves as Reef Hawk, a Hollywood star battling alcoholism and becoming the victim of blackmail. Despite being harshly criticized, garnering only a 25% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes – one of the lowest scores of the actor’s career – the movie has topped the platform’s global ranking, surpassing award‑winning titles such as “F1: The Movie” and hits like “Between Mountains” and “The Fountain of Youth”.
The success extends to almost every market where Apple TV is available, including the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan and Australia, with the exception of South Korea, where it ranks second. In the storyline, Reef Hawk tries to save his reputation by confronting his own demons and relying on the support of friends Kyle and Xander, as well as crisis lawyer Ira.
