The next Spider-Man feature film is already generating huge anticipation online. Actor Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, shared on social media that this new chapter is, without a doubt, his favorite among all the productions in which he has worn the suit. “I’m very proud of the movie. It may sound biased, but it really is my favorite,” Holland wrote, sparking even more curiosity among fans.
The production marks the beginning of a new phase for the spider, moving away from the previous trilogy. Now, Peter Parker is an adult living in isolation, having erased his presence from the memories of the people he loves. He fights crime in a New York that barely recognizes him, devoting himself entirely to the role of the city’s protector. As pressures mount, his body responds with an unexpected physical evolution that could jeopardize his very existence, while a never‑seen‑before pattern of crimes emerges, presenting an unprecedented threat.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton – known for “Shang‑Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” – the film will be the first Spider-Man saga entry in MCU Phase 6, adopting a rebirth tone inspired by the iconic 2008 comic series. Holland says the story doesn’t resemble the fourth film of the series, but rather a true restart of the character.
In addition to Holland, the cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, the mysterious Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Michael Mando returning as the villain Scorpion. Rumors point to the possible inclusion of Tombstone as a secondary antagonist. “Spider‑Man: A New Day” arrives in Brazilian theaters on July 30.
