During CinemaCon, Warner Bros. presented the first teaser of *Evil Dead Burn*, the new installment of the iconic horror series created by Sam Raimi. The clip opens with a woman who, when she opens the dishwasher, hears a strange sound coming from another room. Investigating, she comes across the frightening figure of Alice, followed by the gasping arrival of a man through the front door. An unexpected strike on the door reveals a blood‑soaked presence, missing some fingers, that leaves blood trails on the carpet.
The sequence cuts to the main character, who has a car jack lodged in her face and violently rips it out. Then, the franchise’s legendary cursed book appears, interspersed with flashes of grotesque creatures, brutal fights, and bloody attacks. An off‑screen narration warns that “the whole family can gather” thanks to the power of the grimoire. In the most disturbing moment, the wounded protagonist grabs a lit candle and swallows it, while the gasping man crashes onto dishwasher utensils, being pushed against knives and forks.
The teaser confirms that the film will retain the macabre tone that made the series a horror landmark. There are still no details about the plot, nor whether the story will follow the events of *Evil Dead: The Rise* or blaze a new path. The cast includes Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and Souheila Yacoub, directed by Sébastien Vaniček, co‑written with Florent Bernard. Distribution will be handled by Warner and Sony, with a release slated for July 24 in theaters. In 2027, the franchise is expected to receive another installment, *Evil Dead Wrath*.
