Starfield appears to be on its way to the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 after obtaining a rating from the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information Board, a clear sign that the version is in development.
For months, rumors circulated, even suggesting a possible cancellation of the project. However, Bethesda’s team managed to create a satisfactory port for Nintendo’s new platform.
Almost three years after its original release for Xbox and PC, the game arrived on PlayStation 5 earlier this month, accompanied by two major updates: the paid expansion Terran Armada, focused on narrative with new characters, locations, and missions, and the free update Freeways, which brings more dynamic interplanetary travel, new encounters, points of interest, dungeons, and the ground vehicle Moon Jumper.
With over fifteen million players on Xbox Series, PC, and PS5, Starfield’s arrival on Switch 2 should further expand its fan base and cement Bethesda’s space RPG as one of the most influential titles of the last generation.
