Paramount unveiled an ambitious plan to dominate the entertainment market: from now on, the company intends to release up to **30 movies** in theaters each year.
## Commitment to the traditional exhibition model
During **CinemaCon**, executive director **David Ellison** led the studio’s panel and reinforced Paramount’s commitment to the big‑screen experience. “I want to look into each of your eyes and give you my word: the cinematic experience is also a smart business”, he said, according to the publication *World of Reel*.
The new guideline guarantees:
– **45 days** of total theatrical exclusivity for each release;
– After that period, the film will move to the digital rental window (PVOD);
– The content will only reach the streaming catalog **Paramount+** after **90 days** of theatrical exhibition.
These conditions align Paramount with the major competitors – Universal, Disney, Warner Bros. and Sony – which have already reinstated similar windows.
## Release schedule and merger context
Even amid the turbulent merger negotiations with **Warner Bros. Discovery**, which have faced resistance within Hollywood and sparked an open letter signed by more than 2,500 industry professionals, Paramount used the event to unveil part of its extensive schedule.
### Confirmed franchises
– *Scary Movie*
– *Street Fighter*
– *Paw Patrol*
– *Jackass*
– *Angry Birds*
### Original titles and adaptations
– *Heart of the Beast*
– *Ebenezer: A Christmas Tale*
– *Children of Blood and Bone*
– *K‑Pop Superstar*
– *Mr. Irrelevant*
– *Get Lite*

The expectation is that the merger will be approved by regulators and completed by the **third quarter of 2026**.
