A 42nd edition of the Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards released this week the complete list of nominees, revealing which series and platforms stand out in the season. The award, which celebrates television excellence according to specialized critics, brought news in categories and confirmed the supremacy of some titles and streaming services.
Main Series Nominated
Three productions stood out by receiving the most nominations – five each – consolidating themselves as the big favorites of the gala night.

The nominations landscape also highlights the dispute between the major streaming services. HBO Max leads the list with thirty nominations, closely followed by Apple TV, which totals twenty, and Netflix, with fourteen.

In response to the evolution of television content, the TCA added two categories to its list, totaling fourteen categories in dispute.
- Best Animation: recognizes excellence in animated series, whether new or returning. Among the nominees are The Simpsons, Invincible and South Park.
- Best International Series: opens space for productions outside traditional English-language markets, celebrating global diversity.
These changes reflect the growing importance of adult animation and international productions in the contemporary television scene.
The nominees will be announced in an official ceremony yet to be confirmed, where television critics will gather their votes to define the winners in the fourteen categories, including the two newly created.
