In the second season of “Daredevil: Reborn”, the character Mercenary surprises by saving the hero from certain death, drastically changing his trajectory. In an interview with The Direct, Wilson Bethel, who plays Mercenary, explained that his character’s focus now is to eliminate the Fisks, although Matt Murdock doesn’t want to kill them, he seeks to neutralize them in some way. “The enemy of my enemy becomes an ally,” Bethel said, describing the new dynamic between Mercenary and the Kingpin. This unexpected alliance sparks an imminent war that pits the two protagonists on opposite sides.
The season, aired weekly on Disney+, releases episodes on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. (Brasília time). While the second season progresses, the third is already airing, promising to further expand the Mercenary’s arc and involve other characters such as the Defenders.
