The iconic American singer Lana Del Rey entered the James Bond universe by recording the official theme song of 007 First Light, the latest title of the franchise developed by IO Interactive in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. The track was born from a collaboration with David Arnold, a veteran composer who has already scored five 007 films, bringing a sound that mixes the classic elegance of the series with touches of brass and dramatic strings.
Arnold highlighted the importance of a theme song that “tells the story of the world we are about to enter,” capable of intriguing and exciting the audience. He praised Lana’s ability to imprint her unique atmosphere onto the theme, opening the door for new fans of the saga.
The game presents the origin of a 26‑year‑old James Bond, on his first mission as a secret agent, seeking the coveted 00 status. The main villain, Bawma, is portrayed by musician Lenny Kravitz, while a former 00 agent takes on the role of mentor and the renegade 009 appears as an additional antagonist. Part of the action unfolds in the icy landscapes of Iceland, with high‑risk missions spread across various settings.
The official opening sequence will be revealed on April 17, and the game is scheduled to arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC on May 27.
