During CinemaCon 2026, Sony Pictures released the first official trailer of the newest chapter of the horror series ‘Evil Dead’, titled ‘Evil Dead Burn’. The video, shown at the fair, brought an even bloodier atmosphere than the previous installment, recalling the 2003 classic. The opening presents a tense scene in a kitchen, where actress Tandi Wright reacts to mysterious sounds that increase the tension.
The production features Sébastien Vaniček, director of ‘Infestation’, who co-wrote the script alongside Florent Bernard. The cast brings together names such as Souheila Yacoub (known for ‘Dune: Part Two’), Hunter Doohan (‘Wanda’), Luciane Buchanan (‘The Night Agent’) and Tandi Wright (‘Pearl’).
The film will reach Brazilian cinemas on July 9, two weeks before its US premiere. With a budget of US$ 19 million, the latest title in the franchise, ‘Evil Dead: The Rise’, received an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating high expectations for the new installment. Additionally, Ghost House Pictures has already announced an upcoming project in the series, to be written and directed by Francis Galluppi, though details have yet to be revealed.
