The latest issue of *Absolute Batman* (No. 19) has brought to light the story of the Absolute Robins, revealing that they were all recruited by a government plan known as “Robin Program”. Funded by the Joker himself and led by Slade Wilson, the initiative aims to transform vulnerable youth — orphans and former criminals — into a new protective force for Gotham. The program gathers five characters: Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Duke Thomas, who, according to Wilson, were somehow “adopted” by the Joker before joining the project.
The proposal blends public safety, social assistance, and militarized training, creating a group of vigilantes that acts as the “new totem” of the city. The issue, written by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, has no publication date in Brazil yet, but it already generates great anticipation among comic fans. The look of the Robins has been revisited, featuring a more brutal and intimidating design, aligned with the dark atmosphere that the Joker imposes on the program.
