A 20th Century Studios surprised the CinemaCon audience in Las Vegas by showing the first trailer of *Ice Age 6 – Boiling Point*, scheduled to hit theaters on February 5 2027.
## Trailer and key scenes
The clip features Scrat, the squirrel who chases the acorn throughout the franchise, now accompanied by a youngster. The duo gets into a tussle over the acorn, but the little one ends up receiving a tiny version that turns into a pacifier. The sequence takes on an action tone when an active volcano appears in the background, spewing lava that blankets the setting. Scrat and the baby are forced to leap between ice blocks to escape the eruption.
## Cast presentation
During the screening, Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and Queen Latifah took the stage to promote the film. Romano joked about American politics, stating: “Trump hasn’t arrived yet, so relax… I don’t know what I’m talking about.” He also reflected on the saga’s longevity, noting that when the first movie was made, he didn’t yet wear compression socks or reading glasses. Queen Latifah highlighted that the characters are at a “crossroads” in their lives, indicating significant changes in the storyline.
## Plot and expectations
According to the actors, the new adventure will take the herd to a “Lost World”, where they will face unprecedented challenges, including the volcano shown in the trailer. Rumors suggest the film may even conclude the story of a classic character from the series.
